Puma project 2025: first 10 installations of MTG satellite reception systems completed
For Puma Project 2025, our technicians, in cooperation with local staff, completed the installation of the first 10 MTG satellite reception systems. Each installation site presented specific problems, but we have successfully adapted the system configuration to address and overcome these issues. This flexibility in system design ensures a smooth and trouble-free installation process.
By working closely with local staff, we also ensure knowledge transfer and capacity building, which will be essential for the long-term maintenance and operation of satellite reception systems.
These installations will play a crucial role in improving weather data collection and analysis, providing more accurate weather and climate information in various sectors, such as agriculture, food security, health and disaster risk reduction in the regions served.
The project lays the foundation for more efficient weather forecasting and climate data management in sub-Saharan Africa, enabling local weather services to better serve their communities.
